Opium

Designer:

Light as a bubble, ethereal as a breath, Opium is a suspension lamp that seems to emerge from thin air: a composition of glass spheres that overlap and seek one another, creating a soft, enveloping rhythm. Designed by Edmondo Testaguzza, Opium envisions the lamp as a suspended architecture: spheres of different sizes come together in a balanced arrangement of solids, voids, and transparencies. They can be composed into a cluster, enhancing the sense of delicate, intangible harmony. The light source, integrated into the central body, is designed to deliver a soft and even diffusion.
